In 2023, Hark Angel completed its 10th school project: a new 4-classroom building at Ta Ei High School, serving students from 18 villages across three communes near Siem Reap.
Before we stepped in, Ta Ei was bursting at the seams — with over 800 students and only 7 classrooms, even the library had become a makeshift classroom. Many students dropped out, others risked long, unsafe commutes to other high schools. The need for safe, quality education in this region was urgent.
Today, thanks to your support, the school is flourishing.

For three years, Kok Dong’s only school stood unfinished — a concrete skeleton abandoned mid-build. Children crammed into borrowed spaces or walked kilometres to neighbouring villages. Many dropped out.
In 2024, Hark Angel stepped in, completing the 4-classroom building and transforming it into a vibrant, permanent school. With land already donated and structures in place, we doubled the impact at half the cost.

In Kvek, students were learning in a library, a coconut-leaf kitchen, and a garden hut. With six overcrowded classrooms and more than 300 students, the school was at breaking point — but no help came for years.
Families here survive on as little as 68 cents a day, often eating nothing more than rice and fish sauce. Still, they did what they could — donating land and building temporary shelters for their children.
In 2025, Hark Angel began building 4 new classrooms, giving this remote village a real school — and its children a real future.
